Message it just seemed, since many good road racers that I know (better drivers than me) do this when they replace tires on their 16's. When they are out of slicks or just run their street tires, I ask about the 245's in front and they say it is an improvement over their 225s. So I figure for the extra $10/tire, as long as there is any noticable difference, even minimally, and since they all say it is better than what they had stock, it can't be that bad. But who knows, maybe it is all in their head.

BTW, manufacturers suggest up to a 235 size on 7.5" widths. With that, 245 isn't stretching too much, especially with street tires, since many 245's are within .2" of the 235 spec. Slicks are a whole other problem tho.

As for your yoko AO32Rs, why are you using them? They aren't great cold and warm compared to other slicks!
The BFG G-force KDs are far superior and have better tread ratings.

From my experience, I might succumb to Kumhos on the street, that is plenty when you have driving skill (like both of us, and can realize the street isn't where to puch the car) and get some heavy V700 victoracers for the Autox and track. the combo is a little more $$$ than the set of A032Rs and will last much longer and has superior results on the track with the slicks. Just a suggestion.

Peace,

Salah
